Research shows many different viruses can be inactivated by coconut oil including:

 Cytomegalovirus

 Herpes simplex

 Measles

Here is a link if you would like to read the intro and conclusion of Dr. Brownstein’s answer:  Coconut oil best to cook with.

Coconut oil is relatively high in calories.  But for cancer patients undergoing chemo or recovering from a stem cell transplant that need to put-on or maintain weight, adding a couple tablespoons to a smoothie or milkshake is probably a great idea!  Ends-up tasting sort of like a Mounds bar.

Feel good and keep smiling!  Pat
