Selenium was one of the supplements tested which failed to help.

Poor selenium…  Here is another story I found about the mineral.  Once again, studies showed selenium doesn’t help prevent other forms of cancer:

There is no convincing evidence that taking high doses of selenium — a popular dietary supplement — can prevent cancer, according to a new review.

Too bad.  Selenium is inexpensive and vital to body function.  Once again, researchers have confirmed “more is not better.”

I have taken extra selenium for almost thirty years.  As a matter of fact, a lot of it was Nature Made brand, which is pictured below…

I’m sure that didn’t hurt–but it probably didn’t help much.
