Treatment of Early-Stage Hodgkin’s Lymphoma: Less Proves More by Bruce D. Cheson, MD

This is an important development, reinforcing other blood cancer treatment trends toward lowering chemo doses.

Traditionally, drug companies spend much of their time in Stage 1 and 2 studies determining how much of a drug a patient can take without extreme toxicities.  But just because your body can withstand max amounts of a drug doesn’t mean large doses are necessary.

This study is another example of how less can be more when treating lymphoma, leukemia and multiple myeloma.

Good news!  Lower doses are easier on our bodies–with fewer side-effects.
Feel good and keep smiling!  Pat
