At the first American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) press briefing this afternoon, ASCO announced a program where ASCO and the FDA will work together to help physicians secure investigational, unapproved drugs for seriously ill patients in need.
The program will help patients in need gain access to clinical studies.
I also attended an educational session about why cancer tends to metastasize in your bones. This was held in an enormous multi-media hall which seats thousands.
Off now to view smaller, individual research study presentations called
poster discussion sessions.
Don’t forget to follow my many daily posts while I am here at ASCO on my other site: www.multiplemyelomablog.com.
